Corrupt cop heads to prison

A former police officer in North Carolina is heading to prison for civil rights violations. The cop targeted Hispanics, took their entire wallet, and then returned it short of cash. We can't have people like that with badges.

Sadly, a case like this is far from an isolated incident. Abuse of power by law enforcement happens daily all across the world. Victims are often afraid to come forward because it's like reporting a crime to the same people that did the crime.

The duty rests upon the good cops, and those that pay the salary of all law enforcement officers, to weed out the bad.

What draws control freaks and people of bad nature to law enforcment positions? I suppose the ability to do these things to citizens and not get caught is a reason that some may choose to be a cop, but I think the overall problem is much different than that.

To put it bluntly, there are too many fucking cops and they have too many fucking non-rights violating laws to enforce. On top of that, most of them don't get paid for shit.
